What are the cues or triggers that support my eating disorder behavior?

Social Cues are triggers that come from social situations or events. Examples are things such as social isolation, peer pressure, holidays, and celebrations.

My social cues are:

Situational Cues are environmental triggers such as food commercials, driving by fast-food chains, or having a gallon of ice cream in the house.

My situational cues are:

Examples: binge food at home, buffets


Nutritional Cues are the internal triggers that tell us to eat, such as hunger or fatigue.

My nutritional cues are:

Examples: shakiness, low blood sugar


Mental Cues are the emotionally charged triggers that are soothed by eating or not eating, such as memories or mental images.

My mental cues are: mental images of extremely thin people, family get-togethers
